Blum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 65-48 fall against the Avalon Eagles. One positive for the Bobcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Shawn McEwen, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 boards for Avalon. The dominant performance gave McEwen a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Josh Novak, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 15 points.

Blum's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Avalon, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Blum didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-33 defeat against Covington on the 24th. As for Avalon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-20 win against Morgan on the 24th.
