The Bacon Academy Bobcats will face off against the St. Bernard Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bacon Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.
Bacon Academy's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Montville with a sharp 8-0 win. The Bobcats have beaten the Wolves the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolves has come to flipping the script.

Riley Stolzman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three runs.
In other batting news, Alexa Smith was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle D'Atri, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Bacon Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, St. Bernard was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Plainfield by a score of 3-2. Saints fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Panthers since Thursday.
Like Bacon Academy, St. Bernard also got a great game from a two-way player: Anabelle Wenzel. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Wenzel was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Wenzel wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Milani Hayer, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
St. Bernard has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Bacon Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
St. Bernard's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bacon Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. It's a different story for St. Bernard, though, as they've only averaged .216. Will they be able to contain Bacon Academy's hitters?
Everything went Bacon Academy's way against St. Bernard in their previous meeting back in April, as Bacon Academy made off with a 19-3 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
