The Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds will head out on the road to challenge the Rockledge Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Park Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
With a playoff game on the line, Lincoln Park Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Commodores out 46-43. The win was just what Lincoln Park Academy needed coming off of a 78-56 defeat in their prior matchup.
Lincoln Park Academy found their leader in underclassman Tyon Johnson, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Shaun Williams, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, even though Evans scored an imposing 77 points on Friday, Rockledge still came out on top. Rockledge walked away with a 90-77 victory over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rockledge.
Lincoln Park Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season. As for Rockledge, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
Lincoln Park Academy was taken down by the Raiders 71-34 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Lincoln Park Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
