Tabernacle Christian and the Cougars are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Tabernacle Christian Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Colonial Christian Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Tabernacle Christian and 12 for the Cougars dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-27, which was the final score in Tabernacle Christian's tilt against the Saints on Tuesday. Tabernacle Christian was down 49-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Colonial Christian was beaten by the Cougar 71-37 on Friday.
Tabernacle Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Colonial Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Tabernacle Christian took their win against the Cougars in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 70-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tabernacle Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
