Basketball Game Preview: Redlands East Valley Wildcats vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

The Redlands East Valley Wildcats will square off against the Los Osos Grizzlies at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Redlands East Valley is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Oak Hills on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Redlands East Valley lost 91-67 to Oak Hills. The Wildcats were down 82-51 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Demaj Moore, who posted 17 points in addition to six assists and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Mark Huynh, who put up 19 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Los Osos, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Arrowhead Christian by a score of 65-53 on Tuesday.

Los Osos' win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Redlands East Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
