Sadler Barnes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kielen Tsosie was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Milford was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Wayne hadn't done well against Piute recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Wayne walked away with a 53-44 win over Piute. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Badgers.
Milford better keep an eye on Blake Peterson. He was instrumental in Wayne's win, going 7 for 14 en route to 22 points along with six assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Robins, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Milford pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Wayne, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Milford has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Milford came up short against Wayne in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 75-63. Will Milford have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
