Kenton Ridge and Shawnee are an even 4-4-1 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Braves at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Kyanne Tyson and Ivee Rastatter made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Tyson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Rastatter struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). At the plate, Tyson went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Rastatter went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Shawnee made sure to put some runs up on the board against Versailles on Monday. The Braves were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tigers. Considering the Braves have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Emma George was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was her first of the season. Ava George was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
