The North Panola Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Lewisburg Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in North Panola's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
North Panola scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Grenada 89-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, even though Southaven scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Lewisburg still came out on top. Lewisburg had just enough and edged Southaven out 57-55.
North Panola pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Lewisburg, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
North Panola strolled past Lewisburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a score of 67-50. Will North Panola repeat their success, or does Lewisburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
