He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lajasden Henderson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Irvington Preparatory Academy is undefeated when Henderson posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Aiden Pollock was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Irvington Preparatory Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .600 or higher in three consecutive contests.
