After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northview, the Centennial Knights were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 49-40 win over North Springs. For Centennial, this counts as revenge for the 46-42 loss the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Diamond Leslie led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tatiana Oquendo, who scored 15 points.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for North Springs, their defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-18.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chattahoochee is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for North Springs, they will be playing at home against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
