It was a good run, but the Goleman Gators unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 51-23 loss at the hands of North Miami Beach. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Goleman has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Goleman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jasmin Brown. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with six steals.
Leading North Miami Beach to victory were Yoshaney Cayaso and Laila Henderson. Cayaso dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Henderson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. The matchup was Henderson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Vanejia Bryant was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Goleman's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for North Miami Beach, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Goleman will head out on the road to face off against Miami Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. North Miami Beach will be home for the holidays to greet Dr. Krop at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Dr. Krop is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
