After three games on the road, Hackensack is heading back home. After each having a week off, the Hackensack Comets and the Teaneck Highwaymen will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Thursday, Hackensack suffered a tough 29-9 defeat at the hands of Elizabeth.
Despite a strong season so far, Teaneck has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of River Dell on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Teaneck in their matchups with River Dell: they've now lost four in a row.
Teaneck's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Adriel Perez, who rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns, and Isaac Combs III who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Combs III's longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards.
Hackensack's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Teaneck, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Hackensack beat Teaneck 15-7 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Does Hackensack have another victory up their sleeve, or will Teaneck turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
