The Lincoln County Panthers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game last Friday. They claimed a resounding 38-0 win over Braxton County at home. The win was just what Lincoln County needed coming off of a 60-38 loss in their prior match.
Lincoln County can attribute much of their success to Lucas johaim, who threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Banks, who gained 120 total yards and a touchdown.
Lincoln County's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Braxton County, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Lincoln County will take on Riverside at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Riverside is ranked 57th, while Lincoln County is ranked 64th). As for Braxton County, they will head out on the road to face off against Berkeley Springs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Berkeley Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
