It was a good run, but the Wooster Generals unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Philadelphia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wooster has scored all season.
Wooster's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brady Bowen, who scored 16 points along with three steals, and Aidan Holford who scored ten points along with nine rebounds. The game was Bowen's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Wooster struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Wooster's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6. As for New Philadelphia, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wooster will play host again and welcome Lexington, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lexington is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for New Philadelphia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
