The Yorktown Wildcats had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Snook at home to the tune of 44-13. The score was close at the half, but Yorktown pulled away in the second half with 28 points.
Yorktown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aidan Nunez out in front who rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Nunez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aydan Joe, who gained 98 total yards and two touchdowns.
Yorktown's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Snook, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Yorktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Snook will look to defend their home field on Friday against Louise at 7:00 p.m.
