This season hasn't been kind to the Newport - Bellevue Knights, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were the victim of a tough 69-48 loss at the hands of Issaquah on Friday. Newport - Bellevue lost against Issaquah in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-46 score last time.
Despite the loss, Newport - Bellevue still got an impressive performance from Isaak Losoya, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Carson Sparling was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Newport - Bellevue bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Issaquah, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue will be home for the holidays to greet Mount Si at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Issaquah will be home for the holidays to greet Eastlake at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
