Day 2 of the Elite 11 Finals is now in the books and there was some shakeup in our top 11.
Wednesday night was a pro-day workout where all 20 quarterbacks went through a simulated workout throwing just about every ball in the route tree and were graded on accuracy, catchability, footwork and ball handling.
It was a three-point scoring system with three points for a perfect ball at the receivers chest, two points for a good ball and one point for a catchable ball.
We graded the quarterbacks a little differently, although accuracy is obviously a big part of our evaluation. We still grade based on physical tools and projection.
So if one quarterback throws an accurate pass but has a long windup of a release and the throw is a wobblier and another quarterback throws a tight ball with a quicker release that is still in the catch radius, we would score the latter throw higher than the former.
Our top 11 for today is based on the quarterbacks' body of work for the two workouts this week. The final workout Thursday will be the 7v7 portion of the event.
