Russo has thrown for 428 yards this season, while Viola, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has five catches for 149 yards. Deering's Ken Sweet leads the league in rushing yards with 856.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Thornton Academy and Cheverus. The Trojans enters the contest ranked first in the state, while the Stags ranks second.
Thornton Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Windham, 35-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
