After a string of 18 wins, the Berean Academy Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were outmatched by Tri-City Christian Academy at home and fell 50-16. The low total for Berean Academy ended their streak of high-flying scores.
Tri-City Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Fulvio Dos Santos, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dos Santos has scored at least a third of Tri-City Christian Academy's points. Chris Carnes was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Berean Academy's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-1. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, their win was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berean Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off.
