Basketball Recap: Northside L Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from ISAAC ADCOCK and WILL SLAGLE

Northside L lost against Kokomo HomeSchool last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northside L Lions lost to the Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles on the road by a 79-60 margin. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Eagles are ranked 81st).

WILL SLAGLE and ISAAC ADCOCK certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. SLAGLE posted 13 points, while ADCOCK dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave ADCOCK a new career-high. JEFFREY WHEELER was another key player, putting up nine points.

Even though they lost, Northside L smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kokomo HomeSchool only five offensive boards.

Kokomo HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but David Hart led the charge by going 6-for-7 to rack up 17 points along with eight assists and three blocks. Hart is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Beery, who went 8-for-13 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points.

Northside L's defeat dropped their record down to 18-18-1. As for Kokomo HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season.

Northside L wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-57 win against Columbus HomeSchool on the 22nd. Kokomo HomeSchool has also already played their next contest (against Bluegrass), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
