There's no place like home for the Heartland Christian Saints, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 48-40 victory over Calvary Christian on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Heartland Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Heartland Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reagan Clemens out in front who scored 16 points. The contest was Clemens' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Landon Clemens was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Calvary Christian's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Van Thang, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Braeden Pero, who scored 12 points.
Heartland Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Heartland Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Northpoint HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Indiana Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
