The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 3, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Colonel Crawford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-14.
Carey's record is now 15-5. As for Colonel Crawford, their record now sits at 14-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Carey has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Colonel Crawford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
