The Alexandria Trojans were the 56-51 winner over the Oak Hill Rams when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Alexandria was outmatched by Oak Hill at home and fell 83-46. Alexandria was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-22.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brilee Dousay, who almost dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 15 rebounds, and nine steals. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Dousay. Alexis Dyer was another key contributor, scoring 27 points along with nine rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Alexandria and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Oak Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alexandria will be home for the holidays to greet Marksville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marksville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Oak Hill will be home for the holidays to greet Plainview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Plainview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Oak Hill is ranked 19th).
