Baseball Recap: Boulder City Has No Trouble Against Canyon Springs

Boulder City's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Canyon Springs Pioneers as the Boulder City Eagles made off with a 12-2 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Gavin Robinson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Robinson was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Steven Uszynski, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Cael Starley was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Boulder City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Boulder City's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Canyon Springs, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Boulder City will face off against Mojave at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Boulder City is facing Mojave at the right time seeing as Mojave is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Canyon Springs, they will take on Sunrise Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon Springs has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
