The Lee Christian Falcons had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Falcon Christian Academy and snuck past 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Lee Christian has posted since November 10, 2023.
Lee Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Wilson, who scored 18 points along with two steals. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Rumbold, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Falcon Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Dre Glenn, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Glenn has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times he's played. Jaden Dantzler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Lee Christian pushed their record up to 13-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Falcon Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-2.
Lee Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Falcon Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Monarchs at 6:30 p.m. on February 12th.
