The Post Falls Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-37 loss at the hands of Coeur d'Alene. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Post Falls in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Post Falls still got an impressive performance from Brooklynn Brennan, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Katie Berg, who scored five points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Post Falls has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Coeur d'Alene, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.
Post Falls will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bengals at 6:30 p.m. Lewiston is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Coeur d'Alene, they will head out on the road to face off against the Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake City is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
