Even though the Seligman Antelopes scored an imposing 76 points on Wednesday, the Basis Yeti still came out on top. Basis took their matchup against the Antelopes 89-76. That's two games straight that Basis has won by exactly 13 points.
It was another big night for Jack Engelthaler, who shot 7-for-16 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 46 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Quiroz, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Seligman's loss came despite strong showings from Carmelo Manakaja and Montae Walker. Manakaja dropped a double-double on 43 points and ten rebounds, while Walker scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That was a full 35.5% of Seligman's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Basis' win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.6 points. As for Seligman, they now have a losing record at 14-15.
Basis will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Williams is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season. Seligman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
