The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Zanesville 60-25 at home. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Bloom-Carroll did.
Emily Bratton was on fire: she scored 29 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Lang, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds.
Amaya Seyfried and Jada Seyfried certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Seyfried scored 6 points, while Seyfried scored 5 points.
Bloom-Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Zanesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloom-Carroll will challenge Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zanesville, they will head out on the road to face off against John Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
