Pinnacle has gone 8-2 against Perry recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pioneers will take on the Pumas at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pinnacle has three straight victories, Perry has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Pinnacle was able to grind out a solid win over Boulder Creek, taking the game 6-2.

Noah Weiss
04/24/25 vs Boulder Creek | 8 |
03/10/25 @ Williams Field | 7 |
02/26/25 @ Shadow Ridge | 5 |
04/10/25 vs Mountain Ridge | 4 |
03/03/25 vs Queen Creek | 3 |
Pinnacle got a great performance from Noah Weiss as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Weiss a new career-high.
At the plate, Sam Green was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Pinnacle's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1 (and 7-10-1 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Erik Moo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Perry might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-5 to Chandler, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Devin Dekavallas and Ryan Davie did some serious damage despite the final result: Dekavallas went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Davie went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Perry's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Pinnacle, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Pinnacle hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Perry struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Pinnacle took their win against Perry when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
