Hurricane had a senior duo take command as Addison Crandall scored 25 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks and Abbigail Stout scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Crandall has scored at least 25% of Hurricane's points. Katen Myers was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Virgin Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Julia Leavitt, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, and Mady Wright who scored 14 points along with 3 steals. The matchup was Wright's third in a row with at least ten points.
Hurricane has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Virgin Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
