After flying high against the Creekview Mustangs last Tuesday, the Reedy Lions came back down to earth. Reedy fell 68-55 to Frisco on Friday. While losing is never fun, Reedy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Frisco is ranked 227th).
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylen Mitro, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Ford, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Reedy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Frisco, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Reedy will head out on the road to challenge Wakeland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frisco, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Newman Smith at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Newman Smith's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
