Iowa is 9-1 against Jennings since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Iowa Yellowjackets will stay at home for another game and welcome the Jennings Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Last Saturday, Iowa beat Teurlings Catholic by the very same score they won with last week: 69-53. Given Iowa's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Teurlings Catholic is ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Jennings stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They breezed by Elton on the road to the tune of 90-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Jennings has posted yet this season.
Iowa pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.77 points. As for Jennings, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
