The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mount Desert Island, who took down 39th ranked Brewer, 20-6.
Matt Martin and Nick Rodgerson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Belfast. The longest such play in B Pine Tree this season, the connection resulted in 85 yards.
Chandler Foss and Noah Kershner gave Nokomis a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Foss threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns, while Kershner ran for 151 yards. Teammate Drew Wing added to the ground attack by rushing for 57 yards.
Rodgerson was the best wideout in the league this week as Hampden defeated the Lions. Rodgerson racked up two receptions for 98 yards. Tyler Norris helped Hampden's passing attack out by catching two balls for 12 yards.
Mt. Blue's Jodran Whitney and Cam Abbott have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Whitney has thrown for 639 yards this season, while Abbott, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 18 catches for 289 yards. Kershner from the Warriors leads the league in rushing with 496 yards.
The marquee game in B Pine Tree this week will be the clash between Gardiner and the Broncos. The Tigers enters the contest ranked 18th in the state, while Hampden ranks 23rd.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Leavitt takes on Waterville. The Hornets have allowed 30 points this season, while the Panthers have given up 59. Leavitt allowed 6 points last week as it topped Madison/Carrabec.
Harry Mccluskey's team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in the league. The Broncos beat Belfast 42-14 earlier in the week.
