The Loch Raven Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They really took it to Lansdowne for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-32 victory on the road. Loch Raven has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Loch Raven's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meona Boykin, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Boykin has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Destaney Harris was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with two steals.
Loch Raven is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Lansdowne, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Loch Raven will square off against Archbishop Spalding at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lansdowne won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dundalk at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Dundalk is on a four-game streak of home losses, Lansdowne a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
