The Blanchester Wildcats will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Williamsburg Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Blanchester was beaten by Goshen 76-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Blanchester has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Williamsburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 71-58 to Gamble Montessori. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Blanchester's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-3. As for Williamsburg, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1.
Blanchester suffered a grim 80-54 defeat to Williamsburg in their previous matchup back in January. Can Blanchester avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
