The Windermere Wolverines will face off against the Dr. Phillips Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Windermere is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Olympia with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Xavier Roman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Windermere got a big performance out of Diego Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brody Johnston, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Windermere always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olympia only posted an OBP of .348.
Meanwhile, Dr. Phillips got the win against Freedom on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-3. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Ramses De Maio made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. De Maio was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Dr. Phillips let Chris Pedrinan and Brody Cone run wild. Pedrinan got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Cone went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was Cone's first of the season. Edwin Jaimes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Windermere's record now sits at 16-8. As for Dr. Phillips, their record is now 14-10.
Windermere skirted past Dr. Phillips 5-3 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
