Baseball Recap: Ash Fork/Seligman Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

Ash Fork/Seligman won against St. Michael on Monday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Ash Fork/Seligman beat St. Michael by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-5. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Josue Tellez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Mueller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Ash Fork/Seligman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Ash Fork/Seligman pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for St. Michael, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ash Fork/Seligman will welcome Northland Prep Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Michael, they will host Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
