The Williamsport Millionaires's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 61-37 loss at the hands of State College. While losing is never fun, Williamsport can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 479th, while State College is ranked 178th).
Aidan Angus had a dynamite game for State College, scoring 14 points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Xion Nichols, who scored 15 points.
Williamsport has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for State College, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Williamsport will head out on the road to face off against Shamokin Area at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for State College, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chambersburg at 7:15 p.m. Chambersburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
