Volleyball Recap: Word of God Academy Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Northeast Baptist came into Monday's match looking for another win against Word of God Academy, but Kallie Pizarro wouldn't allow it. The Force were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights on Monday with plenty of help from Pizarro, who had 21 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-17.

Word of God Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Northeast Baptist fell to 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Word of God Academy will venture away from home to take on Christian Home Educators Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Baptist, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mount Olive Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 8.
