4A District 3 recap Nov. 7, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to McLain Science & Tech, who took down 40th ranked Cleveland, 38-35. Demetri Walker threw for 300 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 92 yards in the win.
Wagoner extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 3 this week by beating Vinita, 52-34. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Chas Stallard and Dakota Hewitt gave the Tigers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Stallard threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns, while Hewitt ran for 137 yards. Tyler Jones also contributed to the rushing game with 21 yards on the ground.
Bishop Louie was the best wideout in the league this week as the Titans bested Cleveland. Louie racked up seven receptions for 120 yards. Jaelen Bledsoe helped McLain Science & Tech's passing attack out by catching five balls for 102 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Walker of McLain Science & Tech is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2372. He has also thrown 28 touchdowns. On the ground, Dale Anderson's team's Hewitt has rushed for 864 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Derek Reeves. The Cleveland star has 44 catches for 917 yards.
Reeves of the the Tigers' is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 83 receiving yards in this week's game against Broken Bow to get there.
Webster took down Miami 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
