Krum is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Panther Creek is on a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Krum Bobcats duke it out with Panther Creek Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Krum is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Krum barely beat Lake Dallas the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Krum never let Lake Dallas get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bobcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
The result came thanks to Addison Martindale's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jazmine Jackson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Lillian Williams, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Panther Creek sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Celina on Friday. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.
Reagan Hill made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Hill was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Campbell, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
Panther Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. Krum's victory bumped their record up to 14-1.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Krum has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Panther Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .536. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Krum took their win against Panther Creek when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 11-1. Does Krum have another victory up their sleeve, or will Panther Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
