The Abilene Eagles will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Northwest Texans at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Abilene rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against Ryan by a score of 31-21.
The critical scores for Abilene came from Bryson Perez, Brayden Henry, and Jackson Howle.
Meanwhile, Northwest never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Tascosa 41-0 on the road. Northwest might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 38 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Saheed Durodoye, who rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Nathanial Jean was another major influence, as he rushed for 65 yards and ran in a TD.
Abilene's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Northwest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
