On Monday, everything went Jackson-Reed's's way against DC International as Jackson-Reed made off with a 55-30 win.
Jackson-Reed can attribute much of their success to Kryslynn Stewart, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Stewart has scored at least 25% of Jackson-Reed's points. Aminyah Muhammed was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Vanae Biddix, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Waters, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals.
Jackson-Reed now has a winning record of 2-1. As for DC International, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson-Reed's road trip will continue as they head out to face Friendship Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for DC International, they will square off against Sandy Spring Friends at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
