Norwich Free Academy extended the longest winning streak in Eastern Connecticut - Large this week by beating Stamford, 51-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Wildcats.
Norwich Free Academy took down the Black Knights 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joey Paparelli threw for 96 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 92 yards in the win.
Jemal Davis' team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Marcus Outlow chipped in 147 yards. Ramel Williams helped Norwich Free Academy's passing attack out by catching one ball for 34 yards.
Ryer Caruso was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildcats beat Stamford. Caruso tallied two receptions for 34 yards.
New London's Ackee Barber and Nico Ramos have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Barber has thrown for 990 yards this season, while Ramos, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 11 catches for 296 yards. Outlow from Norwich Free Academy leads the league in rushing with 648 yards.
A big matchup in Eastern Connecticut - Large this week will be when Woodstock Academy takes on the Whalers. The Centaurs are in fourth place, while New London is in second place.
The Wildcats led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on Bryan Hocter's team. Paparelli in the win.
