Halstead is 2-8 against Hesston since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Dragons will head out to square off against the Swathers at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Halstead is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Sylvan-Lucas with a sharp 12-6 win. The Dragons not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 14-4).
Brock Odendahl made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Odendahl was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
