It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Marshall Eagles can now relate to. They fell just short of the Rattlers by a score of 2-1. Marshall was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rancho Mirage apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.
Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-2. As for Rancho Mirage, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4-4.
Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rancho Mirage, they will square off against University Prep at TBD on Friday. Rancho Mirage's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
