Last Friday, Water Valley lost to the Eagles on the road by a decisive 53-35 margin. Water Valley has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Reagan County can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Ozona 66-38 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-18.
Reagan County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarrett Brown, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kason Brown, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Water Valley's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Reagan County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
Water Valley was dealt a bruising 83-28 loss at the hands of the Owls in their previous matchup back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Water Valley was down 54-18.
