The Fayette Academy Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 69-38 loss at the hands of Jackson Christian. Fayette Academy has not had much luck with Jackson Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Corbin Bowling and Landon Abernathy certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Bowling scored 11 points along with two blocks, while Abernathy scored nine points. Kahne Dozier was another key contributor, scoring three points along with three steals.
Fayette Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Jackson Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.
Fayette Academy will head out on the road to take on Lausanne Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lausanne Collegiate presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fayette Academy in Tennessee (Lausanne Collegiate is ranked 125th, while Fayette Academy is ranked 309th). Jackson Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
