After only one  run in their last  contest, Key West made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Lourdes Academy  on Wednesday. Key West put the hurt on Lourdes Academy with a sharp  14-1 win. With that  victory, the Conchs brought their scoring average up to 6.6  runs per game.

She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  Aaliyah Mcleod was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Vera Rodger was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Key West  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Key West has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.3 runs over those games. Lourdes Academy has  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record  this season.
 Key West will head out to  challenge Sebastian River  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Lourdes Academy, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Immaculata-La Salle  at 4:00  p.m. Immaculata-La Salle has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.73  runs per game on average), something Lourdes Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
