After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beaver Country Day, Landmark was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lexington Christian Academy Lions a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Casey O'Connor was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.
